Fri 19:00 – 22:00

Sat 16:00 – 22:00

Sun 16:00 – 19:00

My Hand, my most silent Word

Hair, an installation by Li Koelan

Location: Kunstraum ART-UHR

Fri 19:00 – 24:00

Sat 15:00 – 24:00

Sun 14:00 – 19:00

Women's hair, black, blond, grey, red, brown, curly and sleek, sealed and preserved in transparent plastic gloves completely cover the walls of the room. The rhythm of the hands is sporadically interrupted by small objects/drawings.
The Dutch expression 'with the hands in the hairs' - serving as a point of embarkment of this installation - implies desperateness. In Dutch, 'Hair' also means 'her'...so if you swap the expression 'with the Hair in the Hands' around, it stands for a woman taking her faith in her own hands.
