A Poetic Walk through a Sea of Flowers

A special tour dealing with the art at the former Kindl brewery beach. Let's meander through the sea of flowers and, with creative writing techniques, experience the exhibition in a different way.
Guided by Kirsten Heidler and Anke Singer , a poetry educator, we'll be inspired by the art to do some creative writing, setting off for new horizons. Fictional texts will result in an associative manner; we'll then discuss the process thereby reaching one's own, individual culmination brimming with interesting discoveries.
Please bring a notebook and something to write with.

Neukölln – it's all Rütli or what?

Neukölln has made headlines as an area of problems, with many people from abroad who don't want to integrate into society. The fact that our district also offers a lot more is the idea behind this guided tour, concentrating on venues that are important to Turkish-speaking inhabitants, building bridges between Turkish and German residents, between Islam and the “Christian western world“(sic).
We'll visit a fashion botique and a teahouse, shop at a bazaar offering spices where they also roast coffee and admire a barber's t shaving echnique. After visiting a local politician of Turkish descent in his garden, we'll have a guided tour of a mosque as well as the chance to join in prayers. To round it all off, we'll have a Turkish meal together.

Vergnügen in der Hasenheide

In der Hasenheide entwickelten sich ab 1800 der erste Rummel, Gartenlokale, Varietés, Theater und Freiluftbühnen. Zum Magnet für tausende Vergnügungslustige aber wurde die Neue Welt. und es wurde „In Rixdorf ist Musike..“ gesungen. Über 100 Jahre ging es hier rund. Im Laufe der Zeit entwickelte es sich zu einem berühmten politischen Versammlungsort verschiedenster Parteien und Vereinigungen. In einem Rundgang werden wir die Vergnügungsmeile Hasenheide, die Reste der Brauerei sowie die Neue Welt erkunden. In Huxleys Neue Welt entdecken wir die erhaltenen Elemente des großen Saals. Eine kleine Ausstellung erinnert an die vergangene Pracht und die vielfältigen Attraktionen auf dem Gelände.

The project hörGEHschichten is an audio guide telling the stories of the Karl-Marx-Strasse and its side roads. Equipped with a map and an mp3-player you can discover the street and the different stops of the tour yourself. The street is at the same time source for the various stories and stage for the audio tour. The hörGEHschichten are generated from historical events, contemporary stories and anecdotes of the Karl-Marx-Straße with its traders, strollers, inhabitants, artists, teenagers, passers-by, observers, contemporaries...

History meets fiction - longing meets reality. Start and destination is the HikingTrail at C&A lined by a panorama of alpine mountain tops. Our route leads us - via rest place Weitblick, further on to the tower on top of the city hall, down under through the U7 tunnel, up to the peak of the parking level in the arcades with a 360° panoramic view and leads us back to a MountainPub and a MountainHostel.
